Delicious food and drink at this clubby restaurant directly across the street from the Pantages theater. A perfect place to have a pre-theater dinner. I had the chicken and waffles which was exceptional. The chicken was perfect with a light crispy batter not at all oily. The soft waffle had rosemary and, with the included maple syrup, was a perfect compliment to the chicken. My friend had linguini with shrimp which was also delicious, and he said the lemon cocktail was exceptional. I will be eating here again!

Conveniently located across from the Pantages Theater. We came here after our matinee showing of Jagged Little Pill, The Musical. We made reservations and were seated right away. This is such a cute little restaurant that has a bit of Old Hollywood flair. The bar is lovely and beautifully stocked. I had the L.I.L.A.C. and my friend had the Accomplice. My drink was perfect. I will always choose the drink with St. Germaine. It's one of my fave liqueurs. We started with the meatballs and the heirloom tomatoes & beet salad as appetizers. These were excellent starters. So good. The meatballs had just the right amount of garlic. They were super tasty. The goat cheese was a nice touch in the salad and the dressing was perfect accompaniment. We opted for the braised short rib with mashed potatoes with a side of brussel sprouts for our main course. The short rib was tender and oh so delicious. The brussel sprouts were crispy and paired perfectly with the short rib. We finished our meal with Norma's donut holes and flourless chocolate cake. Both were super yummy and a good way to end our meal. Our server was Ryan. He was spectacular. So friendly and helpful. Everyone was attentive. Our water glasses were kept full and we didn't have to ask for anything. They do add 20% to every bill in lieu of tipping. This helps to pay the servers a good wage. I'm all for it and don't mind paying it. The service was well worth it. We will definitely be back.

Going to eat at Wood & Vine has become my automatic choice before a show at the Pantages. It's literally across the street, so there is no need to stress about traffic or parking, and the food, atmosphere, and service are always pleasant. They have instituted a no tip policy, with 20% automatically added to the bill to cover both back and front of the house employees, so those who work behind the scenes are paid a fairer wage for their work. I wish more restaurants would institute this policy. I was going to a show for a pre birthday celebration so our serve gave us TWO complimentary glasses of sparkling wine (from Albuquerque and normally $14 per glass) and although I would not have ordered this ordinarily, it was a nice gesture and I appreciated the thoughtfulness. The classic caesar for $12 had slices of garlic toast instead of croutons, and had enough garlic and a bit of anchovy to satisfy my picky palate. The braised short rib for $26 was GIGANTIC! It was so tender and tasty that we put the leftovers in the car (it was a cool day and we parked underground across the street) as we went to watch the show! I got the linguini and shrimp for $26 that was also a hearty portion, and a tasty rendition with fresh tomatoes and good sized, perfectly cooked shrimp. We arrived for the show 2 hours early, so we had time to linger, but not much room after the meal. Our waitress once again gave us a complimentary dessert (normally $10). The hot donut holes with vanilla sauce were fantastic!

My girl friends and I were going to watch Moulin Rouge at the Pantages and decided to dine at Wood & Vine before the show. The restaurant is conveniently located across the street from Pantages, next to the W Hotel, so we didn't have far to walk. The entrance is a bit tricky to find since it's not obvious where the entrance is (there seems to be 2 doors). The interior is cute, there are two levels of seating with a bar on the first level, as well as an outdoor patio to dine in. The menu has a good variety of options to choose from and the drink menu had really creative cocktails. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip and Brussels sprouts to start, and some dishes to share: Linguini & Shrimp, the Double Standard burgers, vegetable risotto, and Chilean Sea bass. The food was enjoyable, except for the vegetable risotto. I never really season my food, but I was seeking salt & pepper to add to it. It looked like fried rice with no egg...and no flavor. It was super bland, and none of us liked it or wanted to finish it. We waited and waited for the Chilean Sea Bass, and when we asked about it, we were told the order was lost so we never got it. Since we had a show to catch, we cancelled the order. We were comped our appetizers for the mistake which we appreciated. Otherwise, it's a neat restaurant with good food and good service. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here, but if you're in the area, it's a good choice. Be prepared to pay a 20% automatic service charge that they put on your bill.

Restaurant is very trendy and across the street from the Pantages theatre. Hamburger was very good and beer was included. Sea bass was fair. Biggest issue here is service.! Hamburger came out like fast food! Sea bass about 20 minutes later. My granddaughters shrimp and pasta still has not come out and it's been more than 45 minutes since my hamburger was served. Great patio for outdoor dinning ! Update granddaughters linguini and prawns has finally arrived! She says it's very good. Our server was very good! Nice dinning experience!

This review is only for the bar seating near the entrance. Fiancé and I walked into this bar to grab some drinks before going to a show at the Fonda Theatre on a Thursday evening. We walked in and told the host we wanted to grab a bar seat and he led us immediately to the bar which wasn't that busy. The bartender was super friendly and tended to us immediately. When I get a good friendly vibe from the bartender, that pretty must is a green flag for me. I ordered the Tequila Mockingbird drink because the bartender said it was the most popular drink and fiancé ordered the Black Manhattan. The Tequila Mockingbird was just okay. It tasted cheap like a tequila drink that you'd get at TGI Friday's. However, he made it SUPER strong and boozy which made up for it since I was pretty much there to pregame before seeing a show. The Black Manhattan was classy and good and my fiancé liked it. The food looked good but we already had dinner beforehand so didn't try the food. Overall, I definitely would come back here and will order something else maybe before or after a show at the Pantages since I enjoyed the vibe and the staff was very nice.

Love love coming here before a show. Our server Xander (Zander?) made our dinner lovely. The patio is super cute with lots of tables and a couch area, which you can reserve. The food is also very good! - Brussel sprouts are bomb.com! Spicy and delicious - drinks are fabulous. I had the tequila mockingbird, good and quite strong - their old fashioned is also made right! There's nothing more I hate than old fashioned made wrong. Thank goodness they do it right - scallops are divine!! Must get it! - beet salad also delish - their double burgers are so good!! - can never go wrong with steak. Make sure to ask for medium rare though, because it may come out more medium well than expected Also their alcohol list is impressive. Can't wait to come back!

The back patio is an absolute hidden gem! We came here to dine before watching Hamilton at the Pantages theater. Parking can vary between $10-$20 around the area depending how long you'll stay. With a party of 10, we made reservations ahead of time and was given a rectangular fire pit area to relax and dine at. There was a projector and a movie playing in the background on a wall. The ambiance was very dazzling and Hollywood-esque if that's even a word haha. Although the menu is a bit pricy, the drinks and food are definitely worth it! We went on a Friday night and service was great. It wasn't a fully packed house inside and out, but they were pretty busy. Our server checked in on us every 5-10 minutes as more of our party showed up. Food - omgosh, the Tomahawk is v expensive: market price at around $150, but worth it! It definitely can overfeed 2 people or easily feed 3. The meat is tender and flavorful. The brussle sprouts was nicely roasted and paired well with the meat. Along with the Accomplice cocktail, it was indeed, a tasty combination. If you're around the area for a nice night out, go big and dazzle you and your friends with this bougie Hollywood gem.
